About the transcriptor

Some comments about the transcriptor

First of all: Thanks for visiting this site ! If you have any questions or suggestions please email me:
xavikur@hotmail.com

This programme gives you the phonetical transcription of the sentence you enter in Spanish.

Which are the advantages of this site?

- Automatic transcription of words in context.
- On-line transcription.
- It is totally free!

What about the limitations ?

- Most of the characters are encoded as the International Phonetic Alphaber (IPA) says. Some
of the symbols are not exactly like in IPA because of compatibility problems with the characters. However,
there's above an explanation of how to interpretate the symbols.

- Logically, the transcription is based in one the dialects of peninsular Spanish. We should
also keep in mind that a phonetical transcription is an idealized translation of spontaneous
speak.

- No accents represented in the transcription.
